An established architectural practice with decades of award-winning design excellence is seeking an experienced Architect to join their successful London team.
With offices across the country, this medium-large sized practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, contextual, narrative-led architecture across education, commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors throughout the UK.
The London studio, based in a beautiful building in central/North London, offers a bright, airy workspace with a family-friendly culture and strong work-life balance.
This role offers the opportunity to work on large scale residential projects and hospitality projects. Residential project experience in the UK is key as they have won several projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical design packages for residential projects including affordable housing, student accommodation and co-living schemes from RIBA Stage 4 onwards.
- Produce detailed working drawings and specifications using Revit, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and planning requirements.
- Manage coordination with structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the technical design and construction phases.
- Apply knowledge of high-risk building regulations, ensuring compliance with current fire safety and building safety legislation.
- Support design development on residential projects, contributing creative solutions alongside technical expertise.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documentation and tender packages to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site visits during construction phases to monitor progress, resolve technical queries and address challenges as they arise.
- Collaborate with project architects and directors to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- RIBA Part III (or equivalent) and ARB registered.
- 2-5 years of post qualification experience in delivering UK projects
- Proficiency in Revit is essential for producing technical documentation and coordination drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage consultant information
- Design capability to contribute to early-stage project development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement
