A highly selective, design-led architectural practice known for its meticulous standards and contextual design is seeking an experienced Project Architect / Senior Architect to lead on key projects.
Operating across private residential, higher education, arts & culture, and luxury hospitality, this boutique studio offers an agile, inclusive, and family-oriented culture. They prioritise quality over quantity, delivering exceptional projects ranging from embassy developments to multi-storey Grade II listed refurbishments and international educational facilities.
This is a brand-new, permanent role for a skilled Project Architect / Senior Architect to take ownership of diverse, high-value projects right from initial feasibility through to final handover on site.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead projects autonomously across all RIBA stages, taking responsibility for feasibility studies, detailed planning submissions, listed building consents, and on-site delivery.
- Manage complex technical issues, navigating heritage constraints and structural retrofits.
- Drive sustainable design integration, ensuring projects meet and exceed dual sustainability standards and rigorous accessibility guidelines.
- Produce, review, and manage comprehensive technical packages, working fluently in VectorWorks while helping guide the practice's transition to Revit.
- Manage primary client relationships, contractor engagement, and multi-disciplinary consultant teams throughout the design and construction phases.
- Carry out regular site inspections, resolving technical challenges promptly to ensure uncompromising delivery quality.
Qualifications:- ARB registered Architect with significant post-qualification experience leading UK projects.
- Proven track record delivering complex building projects and bespoke residential or institutional schemes.
- Strong proficiency in VectorWorks, with working knowledge or fluency in Revit to support BIM transition.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Building Regulations, listed building planning processes, accessibility, and modern sustainability standards.
- Strong technical acumen combined with a refined design eye, capable of seamlessly balancing creative concepts with construction realities.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
