Senior Technical Architect - Rail and detailing expertise

Seeking an experienced Senior Architect to work across a variety of ongoing and upcoming projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to be part of a dynamic team working on high-profile and large-scale architectural projects.

Qualifications Required:

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
Registration: Must be registered with the Architect’s Accreditation Council of Australia or a mutually recognised equivalent international governing body.
15+ Years of experience in quality practices, with a focus on project management, team management and site experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Work on large scale projects including rail work and provide senior delivery expertise
Review all projects at key milestones
Develop key construction details and future efficiencies
Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and best practices, while staying informed on industry trends and technologies.
Drive design quality and oversee project reviews, risk assessments, and safety planning (supporting a QA Manager)
Ensure high-quality documentation to support project milestones and clearly communicate design intent
Assist in managing scope, budgets, programs, and resourcing
Mentor team members, support professional development, and contribute to a positive and efficient studio culture

Required Skills & Experience:

15+ years experience incl substantial site stage experience, gained on large-scale developments and various sectors
Strong understanding of construction principles and codes
Revit skills preferred but not critical
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. This includes ability to work with Tier 1 and 2 Builders and identify scope variations where appropriate
Excellent time management and ability to handle competing priorities
