As an Intermediate Designer, you will play an integral role in the design and delivery of high-end residential and hospitality projects, working closely with a talented and collaborative team from concept through completion. The position offers hands-on exposure to design development, technical documentation, custom detailing, materials, and interiors, providing the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to sophisticated projects in a small, design-driven studio environment. Location: Venice, CA
Schedule: 5 days in-office for the first 3 months, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to high-end residential and hospitality projects from concept through completion.
- Develop design concepts, presentations, drawings, and project documentation.
- Produce DD and CD packages with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, consultants, and project managers.
- Develop custom architectural details, millwork, materials, and finishes.
- Support material selections and interior detailing.
- Coordinate project information across internal and external teams.
- Take ownership of assigned project tasks while maintaining the studio’s design standards.
Skills and Experience:
- 3–6 years of professional experience in architecture, interiors, or a related design field.
- Experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, or similarly design-driven projects.
- Strong design sensibility and passion for architecture and interiors.
- Experience producing design development and construction documentation.
- Understanding of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, and millwork.
- Revit proficiency preferred, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Strong graphic, visual, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a small, collaborative, and hands-on studio environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of work from concept through execution.
