Accounts Administrator

We are partnering with a well-established construction and property business to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organisation.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining financial records and supporting accounts payable processes. The business offers a collaborative culture, strong staff retention, flexible working arrangements, and genuine opportunities for long-term career growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

Register, process and code incoming supplier invoices within the finance system.
Review invoice information to ensure accuracy and completeness before progressing approvals.
Maintain accurate financial records and accounts payable support data.
Support invoice workflow management and assist in resolving discrepancies or outstanding queries.
Administer and maintain records for company fuel cards, eTags, trade accounts and other operational accounts.
Monitor account usage and ensure records remain accurate and compliant with company policies.
Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and broader finance team.
Liaise with suppliers, employees and internal stakeholders regarding finance-related enquiries.
Assist with document management, reporting and general finance administration tasks.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support efficient finance processes across the business.

Skills & Experience

Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
Previous experience in an Accounts Administration, Finance Administration, Accounts Payable or similar support role.
Experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership of tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing responsibilities independently.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous professional development.
