Landed Interiors is seeking an experienced, local Interior Designer to join our New York City location. We are a bi-coastal design team with a focus on crafting high-end residential projects across the country that span a variety of styles and integrate history and place. We are exploring candidates whose work experience could be suitable for an Intermediate level role. Our ideal team member is a curious, resourceful, and thoughtful person who values personal and professional growth and development. They should be eager to participate in the communal shaping of our studio culture and enthusiastic about expanding our community of like-minded creatives and makers. We recognize that fostering a supportive and trusting work environment where creativity can flourish requires an active commitment to honesty and compassion by everyone involved, and we want to bring in others who share this philosophy. The ideal design candidate must have a discerning eye and be self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively, own assigned tasks (with guidance and oversight as appropriate), and manage their time on multiple projects simultaneously. They have experienced an acceptable level of familiarity with the lifecycle of a typical construction/renovation project and are perpetually interested in learning more about the processes and methods of construction and fabrication. They are familiar with the design market (vendors, fabricators, artisans, etc.) – and comfortable with the prospect of finding and vetting new contacts in unfamiliar markets.
