Rachel Laxer Interiors is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position — work from home and in-studio — based in our Scarsdale/Westchester, NY studio, and we are open to a 4-day or 5-day week for the right candidate. The role is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience, preferably in a high-end residential design studio, who is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through installation. The successful candidate is highly organized, a self-starter, and a problem solver, comfortable managing multiple projects with limited guidance while collaborating closely with the Principal and studio team. Responsibilities Prepare plans, elevations, and presentations in AutoCAD and InDesign Source and select fabrics, finishes, and furnishings, collecting samples in person Prepare FF&E specifications, schedules, cost plans, proposals, and invoices Track orders and deliveries, resolving issues before they affect a deadline Prepare COIs and handle building alteration and decorating agreements Create custom work orders for suppliers Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and building teams, including regular time on site
