An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Project Architect with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience to join a highly respected architectural practice in London.
Part of a successful national practice with offices across the UK, the studio delivers a diverse portfolio of complex, high-value projects spanning the Healthcare, science & technology, education, research, commercial and masterplanning sectors. This role would suit a technically strong architect looking for greater responsibility, meaningful project involvement, and the chance to build a long-term career within a growing, yet established practice.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team working on technically challenging projects ranging from refurbishment schemes through to major developments valued up to £300m. Working closely with senior leadership, clients, consultants and contractors, you'll take an active role in project delivery from technical design through construction, helping to deliver innovative and impactful projects across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project delivery throughout all RIBA Stages, ensuring technical excellence throughout the construction phase.
- Develop comprehensive technical drawing packages and detailed construction information.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and specialist stakeholders throughout the delivery process.
- Manage project packages and deliverables, ensuring programmes and project requirements are met.
- Undertake site inspections, monitor construction progress and respond to on-site queries.
- Support contract administration and contribute to the successful delivery of projects through construction.
- Collaborate closely with senior architects and project leaders on large-scale, complex developments.
- Contribute to the continued success and growth of the Oxford studio within a wider national practice.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Architect with 3-5 years' post-Part III experience.
- Proven experience delivering projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and contractors.
- Confident carrying out site inspections and resolving technical issues during construction.
- Excellent Revit skills and experience working within BIM environments.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of project responsibilities.
