Key Responsibilities
- Drive the day-to-day warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations within your state, ensuring seamless and safe product movement, storage, and distribution aligned with national standards.
- Implement and adapt Valiant’s operational strategies at the local level, maintaining consistency across the organisation while tailoring processes for optimal performance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the state operations team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high achievement.
- Analyse operational data to identify efficiencies, implement process improvements, and contribute to overall business growth and profitability.
- Oversee inventory control, resource allocation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, ensuring cost-effective and compliant operations.
- Collaborate closely with the National Head of Operations to report performance metrics, manage risks, and seize continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage resources effectively during peak periods, including labour, equipment, and materials, supporting a responsive and flexible operational environment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to ensure a motivated and skilled team.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and venues, to deliver outstanding service levels.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading warehouse, logistics, or operational teams within a complex environment.
- Demonstrable track record of implementing operational systems, driving efficiency, and managing budgets.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain processes.
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams to high performance.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify operational opportunities.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills, capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with data analysis and reporting tools a plus.
- Valid driver’s and forklift licences desirable but not essential.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations, or related disciplines preferred.
