A growing architecture and interior design firm is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations and support business performance through accurate reporting, analysis, and financial management. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who understands project-based businesses and can manage everything from bookkeeping and billing to financial reporting and cash flow oversight.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and general ledger management.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analyses for leadership.

Monitor project finances, including billing schedules, project budgets, revenue tracking, and profitability.

Manage invoicing and fee-based billing structures.

Track billable hours and support project teams in maintaining financial performance goals.

Ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.

Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial systems.

Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support business decisions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.

5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller, Project Accountant, Accountant, Bookkeeper, or similar role.

Previous experience within an architecture, interior design, engineering, construction, or professional services environment preferred.
