Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of precise, well-coordinated technical documentation in AutoCAD, from 1:100 plans to 1:5 detail drawings, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Own the full technical and construction documentation process for high-end residential projects, overseeing each stage from concept through to site delivery.
- Collaborate with designers’ SketchUp models to explore detailing and embed design intent into drawings.
- Contribute early-stage technical, planning, and buildability insights to support innovative and feasible design solutions.
- Respond confidently to builder and consultant queries on site, managing quick turnarounds and implementing design adjustments efficiently.
- Review external consultants’ documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards like BCA, NCC, and DBPA.
- Maintain and improve studio documentation standards, templates, and resource libraries to ensure ongoing quality and efficiency across projects.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in architectural or interior documentation, with a focus on high-end residential interiors.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, comfortable working within a Mac environment (AutoCAD LT for Mac preferred).
- Strong skills in SketchUp, supporting detailed design development and visualisation.
- Practical on-site experience, confident in responding to builder queries and managing design modifications on site.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing shifting priorities while maintaining quality.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, with the professionalism and calmness required in a tight-knit studio environment.
