Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple architectural projects independently while contributing to larger-scale projects as part of a collaborative team.
- Manage competing priorities, schedules, and deliverables across projects at various stages of development.
- Develop and present thoughtful initial design concepts tailored to each client’s vision and project requirements.
- Lead projects from schematic design through design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Coordinate building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility standards, and code compliance throughout the design process.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and well-coordinated construction documentation.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of large-scale construction types, architectural detailing, building materials, and building systems.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Contribute to space programming, space planning, workplace strategy, entitlements, and planning approvals.
- Mentor junior team members while contributing to a culture of continued learning and design excellence.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
- 7–10 years of professional experience with an architecture or interior design firm.
- Experience with large commercial office, mixed-use, civic, academic, cultural, or similarly complex projects.
- Ability to independently lead multiple projects while collaborating effectively on larger-scale assignments.
- Strong design conceptualization, visualization, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience across architectural phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Strong understanding of building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility, building codes, construction detailing, materials, and construction types.
- Experience with LEED documentation and certification, space programming, workplace strategy, entitlements, or planning approvals is desirable.
- Proficiency in Revit required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating innovative design concepts and thorough, coordinated construction documentation required.
