HR Manager to lead and strengthen the people function across the business.

Roles & Responsibilities- Lead and enhance organisational culture by embedding company values throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Develop and implement initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, wellbeing, and overall employee experience.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and provide expert guidance on people-related matters.
- Coach and support managers and employees across a broad range of HR issues.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace environment.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and execute workforce planning strategies aligned with organisational growth objectives.
- Identify current and future talent requirements and proactively assess workforce capability.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring effective attraction, selection, and onboarding of talent.
- Support leaders in making hiring decisions that align with both technical requirements and organisational culture.
- Develop talent pipelines and recruitment strategies to address future business needs.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace investigations.
- Provide practical and commercially focused solutions to organisational and people challenges.
- Oversee key people processes, including onboarding, probation reviews, performance reviews, and remuneration reviews.
- Support and develop leaders in effective people management practices, accountability, and team leadership.
- Promote best-practice employee relations and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks that support business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, modern awards, and HR best practice.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR systems, processes, and reporting to support organisational growth.
- Lead the ongoing development of the HR function, ensuring scalability and efficiency across the business.
- Contribute to strategic business initiatives through workforce insights, people analytics, and organisational development activities.
- Support and mentor HR team members, fostering capability and continuous professional development.
Skills & Experience- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in an HR Manager, People & Culture Manager, or similar HR leadership role.
- Approximately 6-10 years of broad HR experience, including 1-2 years operating at a management level.
- Strong generalist HR expertise across the full employee lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing employee relations matters, performance management processes, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgement, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within construction, trades, manufacturing, or other operationally focused industries will be highly regarded.
- Experience working within an owner-led or founder-led business environment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, modern awards, and HR best practice.
