Senior Sustainability Specialist

A leading international architecture practice is seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist to join its established Los Angeles studio.
This is a key position within the practice, working closely with design teams to embed sustainability into projects from concept through delivery. You'll help shape project outcomes, provide technical leadership and drive environmental performance across a diverse portfolio.
The Role
- Lead sustainability strategies across a range of architectural projects.
- Advise project teams on environmental performance, resilience and carbon reduction.
- Guide projects through sustainability certification processes, including LEED and WELL.
- Carry out environmental analysis and support performance-based design.
- Work closely with architects, engineers and consultants to integrate sustainable design principles.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the sustainability team.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, regulations and industry best practice.
About You
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering sustainability strategies within an architecture or engineering practice.
- Strong knowledge of LEED, WELL and sustainable building principles.
- Experience with embodied carbon, operational carbon, building performance and environmental analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for sustainable design.
