This is a hybrid role bridging studio operations, risk management, and internal HR, providing critical structural support to the directors, project leads, and design staff. Working within a creative Architecture studio, this position has a broad scope and offers the opportunity to support and shape the culture of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- HR functions including end-to-end employee experience, managing day-to-day employee queries, GDPR compliance, employee engagement, CPD & health and safety
- Managing sub-consultant appointments, coordinating with the company solicitor, and ensuring all professional insurances (PI, Public Liability, etc.) are accurately maintained and renewed
- Maintain and renew crucial industry credentials (RIBA, ARB, RISQS, Constructionline) and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards, health & safety regulations, and statutory records.
- Working with the Finance Manager to track project commercial performance, payment applications, and budgets via the company's management software.
Skills and Experience
- Industry experience in an Operations or HR role, ideally gained within a creative agency, design studio, or architecture practice.
- A strong understanding of UK employment legislation and core HR processes, with the confidence to handle sensitive staff matters with tact and strict confidentiality.
- Competence in managing database systems, process workflows, and financial tracking tools.
