The Senior Designer holds a high level of responsibility and ownership over the projects they lead. This role is the creative and operational driver of our work, guiding each project’s interiors scheme from concept through completion. They take a proactive role in space planning, material selections, and the coordination of interior architecture, while overseeing the technical execution of the design package alongside Principals. This role is on the front lines of client and contractor relationships for the duration of a project. It requires sound design judgment, excellent time management and prioritization, creative flexibility, and technical precision. Our studio environment is ideal for someone who is comfortable with both collaborative and independent work, thrives in a client-focused environment, and is ready to make a meaningful contribution to our studio. Lead the development and execution of high-end residential design projects from concept to completion. Develop space plans, material palettes, and design concepts for client presentations. Manage to project budgets, timelines, and procurement with precision and accountability. Oversee selection and specification of FF&E. Serve alongside Principals as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors on assigned projects. Prepare and review construction documentation, RFQs, POs, and detailed drawings for custom millwork, furniture, and finishes. Collaborate closely with Principals to ensure every project reflects AVI’s design standards and level of service. Manage multiple active projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion and adherence to studio standards. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design plans. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals involved in the design process.
