About the Role
Inventure is hiring a Mid-Level Interior Designer for our Houston office. You'll work on commercial interiors projects that include quick-turn test fits, building standard finish packages, spec suites, and building upgrades that elevate the tenant experience. The work is fast-paced and high-volume, with projects ranging from single-suite test fits to full build-outs.
You'll lead smaller projects on your own and support senior designers on larger ones, working directly with landlords, tenants, brokers, contractors, and consultants.
What You'll Do
- Produce test fits and space plans on tight turnarounds
- Prepare and present building standard finish packages that align with client branding, budget, and schedule
- Lead smaller projects through programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
- Support senior designers on larger projects, including budgets, schedules, and documentation
- Handle FF&E, finish selection, and furniture system coordination
- Coordinate with brokers, clients, contractors, consultants, and product reps
- Attend client and OAC meetings on site as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
- 3 to 5 years of commercial interior design experience
- Strong space planning, finish selection, FF&E, and construction documentation skills
- Client-facing experience and confidence presenting to clients, brokers, and project teams
- Clear and professional communication with team members within and outside the firm
- Ability to manage several projects at different stages against firm deadlines
- NCIDQ certification or Texas RID registration is a plus; we support candidates working toward it
Software
We work in ArchiCAD and will train you. Revit or other BIM experience transfers well.
How We Work

We're small enough that you'll work directly with firm leadership and large enough to take on significant projects. We value initiative and trust over micromanagement.
