Must be able to work in both the teaching kitchen and makerspace.

Job Summary
Engages customers in the Exploration Commons (EC) Makerspace and Teaching Kitchen and assists with their general needs. Assists in the implementation of instructional programming for the Makerspace and Teaching Kitchen. Performs administrative and clerical support as needed.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Functions
Delivers exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their EC-related questions, including but not limited to, troubleshooting of all EC equipment.
Assists in the preparation and wrap up of various programs at EC and may conduct programming as necessary.
Ability to operate all audiovisual equipment in EC meeting rooms.
Assists in the creation of content and examples to showcase applications of resources at EC.
Maintains professional growth and development through participation in library teams, committees, outreach, and training activities.
Communicates library policies and procedures to customers as appropriate.
Performs other duties as instructed and assigned.

Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn new technologies.
Ability to learn kitchen and makerspace responsibilities and operate all EC equipment.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
At least one year of directly related experience with makerspace and commercial kitchen equipment
Six months or more of customer service or retail experience
Obtain Food Handler certification within the first six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree or college coursework in a related field
Instructional experience
Physical and Environmental Conditions
Must be physically able to move throughout the building, lift up to 30 lbs., and push/pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 100 lbs., stand on ladders, and bend to floor.
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, and libraries, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, and/or working in moderate outdoor weather conditions.
