Job Description
We are seeking a talented Residential Interior Designer with advanced Chief Architect software experience to join a growing residential remodeling company in Barberton, OH. This role is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys designing kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations while guiding homeowners from concept through construction.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential remodeling, exceptional space-planning skills, and the ability to create accurate, construction-ready plans. You'll collaborate with homeowners, project managers, contractors, and vendors to deliver beautiful, functional spaces that align with each client's vision and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Design kitchens, bathrooms, home additions, and whole-home remodeling projects using Chief Architect software.
Meet with homeowners to understand project goals, budgets, lifestyles, and design preferences.
Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and presentation materials.
Produce accurate construction drawings and design documentation for project execution.
Assist clients with selecting cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, paint colors, and other materials.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout each phase of the project.
Revise designs based on client feedback while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Ensure designs are practical, aesthetically appealing, code-conscious, and ready for construction.
Maintain organized project files and documentation across multiple active remodeling projects.
Requirements
Experience in residential interior design, home remodeling, or renovation projects.
Advanced proficiency with Chief Architect software is required.
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and space planning.
Experience creating construction-ready plans and professional client presentations.
Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.
Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
Experience working directly with homeowners throughout the design process is highly preferred.
