Kathleen Walsh Interiors, a boutique residential design studio with offices in New York and Wellesley, MA, is looking for an Intermediate to Senior Interior Designer to join our NYC team. We create deeply personal, soul-filled homes - full-scale, single-family residential projects across New York, New England, and beyond, where luxury meets warmth and the perfect imperfection of things made by hand. This is a hands-on role for a designer who wants real ownership: leading projects from the Principal's vision through to a finished, lived-in home. The Role You'll take the lead from our Principal and carry projects through to completion, working closely with a small, tight-knit team. You're comfortable being the person in the room — with clients, contractors, and vendors alike — translating ideas into elegant, buildable plans and keeping every detail, and every person, moving in the same direction. You will: Craft elegant furniture plans and lead interior architecture and detailing Finalize presentation materials and fine-tune specifications Balance budgets and oversee product proposals and their presentation Partner with our Project Coordinators and oversee installations Serve as a clear, organized point of contact for clients and project partners from design through construction Bring an eye trained on interior architecture and detailing — this matters a lot to us
