This established boutique interior design studio is seeking a talented Mid-Level Interior Designer to join its close-knit, Northern beaches based team. With an exciting pipeline of residential projects on the horizon, the studio is looking to connect with the right person now, with the opportunity to commence part-time and transition into a full-time role as new work progresses. Working alongside an experienced Creative Director, you'll play a key role in delivering beautifully crafted homes, taking projects from concept development through to documentation, coordination and completion. This is an ideal opportunity for a designer who enjoys balancing creativity with technical delivery and is looking to grow into greater project ownership within a supportive, collaborative studio.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of luxury residential projects following concept development through to documentation, coordination and delivery.
Produce detailed documentation, schedules and specifications using Programa and other project management tools.
Create high-quality 3D models and presentations in SketchUp to communicate design intent.
Coordinate project timelines and liaise confidently with clients, consultants, suppliers and trades.
Attend site visits and assist with construction administration, resolving design queries as projects progress.
Support furniture, finishes and styling selections to ensure beautifully resolved interiors.
Work closely with the Creative Director, gradually taking greater ownership of projects as the studio continues to grow.
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure all documentation and project deliverables are completed to the studio's high standards.
Skills & Experience
Approximately 4–6 years' experience in residential interior design.
Strong SketchUp skills are essential, with the ability to produce presentation-quality models.
Experience preparing documentation, schedules and specifications.
Solid understanding of project coordination and construction administration.
Confidence attending site visits and communicating professionally with builders, trades and suppliers.
Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
