Position Overview:
The Office of the Dean, School of the Arts and Communication is seeking candidates for Graphic Design Assistant. The Graphic Design Assistant will be responsible for the management and execution of graphic design projects for the School of the Arts and Communication. Projects may include marketing and recruitment materials, including but not limited to flyers, posters, postcards, digital ads, web banners and social media graphics. The ideal candidate will take ownership over projects from start to finish, and will be comfortable liaising with school and community partners and vendors as needed. When not engaged in graphic design projects, the Graphic Design Assistant will provide general office and event support to the Dean's Office. This may include quantitative and research projects at the discretion of the Dean; special event set up and break down, and other responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with SOAC Dean's Office and faculty/staff partners within the school to create, edit, and finalize designs
Produce drafts of requested materials and respond to feedback and revise
Ensure all projects meet TCNJ brand standards
Prepare all materials and files for printing or online use as needed
Respond to questions and requests for changes
Learning Objectives:
Learn to create cohesive visual campaigns for clients
Learn to respond to feedback and revise designs
Learn to prepare designs for web and print
Preferred Qualifications:
Graphic Design major preferred
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Adobe Express
Experience with developing designs in response to customer needs
