ABOUT THIS POSITION Camden Grace Interior Design is seeking a talented and highly organized Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing team. This role requires both strong design execution and the ability to independently manage key aspects of a project. The Designer will support and collaborate with the team throughout all phases of the design and construction process, including design development, documentation, and project coordination. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients, vendors, and trade subcontractors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to interpret and execute the design direction established by the Principal and Senior Designers, while contributing thoughtfully to the overall vision. This position is based in our West Hartford, CT office and requires regular in-person collaboration. Candidates must be local and able to commute. POSITION DETAILS Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Schedule: Full-Time, approximately 40 hours per week Compensation: $32–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience Location: West Hartford, CT (primarily in-office with some flexibility for remote work - Local candidates only) Trial Period: 90-day probationary period to evaluate fit and performance SKILLS Portfolio demonstrating experience across full project scope, including design development, presentations, and construction documentation Strong knowledge of high-end residential furnishings, materials, and finishes Ability to confidently specify and source products appropriate to project scope and budget Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with clients, vendors, and internal team Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Professional, dependable, and responsive PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
