Role Description

The Senior Carpet Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This position involves conceptualizing, designing, and creating custom carpet designs tailored to client needs. The designer will work closely with designers, architects, and project managers to develop innovative and aesthetic flooring solutions that align with client expectations. Regular responsibilities include collaborating with team members, creating design presentations, selecting and sourcing materials, managing design projects from conceptualization to production, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. Additionally, the role requires keeping up with market trends to propose cutting-edge designs for high-end hospitality and residential projects.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Carpet Design, Textile Design, and custom rug development
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD-based platforms
Ability to manage complex design projects from conceptualization to completion with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of textiles, color theory, and manufacturing techniques including hand-tufted, hand-knotted, and Axminster methods
Strong communication and presentation skills for collaborating directly with clients and teams
Ability to research and interpret design trends for unique and creative solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
Experience in the hospitality or luxury design industry is highly desirable
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
