Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of distinct interior design schemes, leading creative concept development through to technical delivery, ensuring each project embodies the firm’s hallmark of excellence and innovation.
- Lead the integration of interdisciplinary criteria, blending architectural, structural, and interior elements to produce cohesive, high-functioning spaces that push creative boundaries.
- Manage and refine project packages, from initial sketches to detailed construction documents, maintaining design integrity and compliance with all relevant standards.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and clients, to develop innovative design solutions that are both inspired and practically viable.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence, and championing sustainable design strategies across all projects.
- Contribute to the development of design standards and internal best practices, elevating the studio’s approach to interior architecture.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of new materials, techniques, and sustainability trends to enrich project quality.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-6+ years’ experience in interior design, with a strong focus on workplace, hospitality, or residential environments.
- Proven ability to lead design projects from concept to completion, demonstrating a high level of creative and technical proficiency.
- Expert skills in Rhino, Revit, and SketchUp, with a good understanding of BIM workflows.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, finishes, systems, and current codes, with an eye for sustainable, circular economy approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design ideas clearly to clients and team members.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and leading small project teams preferred.
- A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture, with a near-completion of licensure and LEED accreditation a plus.
