Senior Interior Designer, Washington, DC
This is an opportunity to join an established and award-winning design practice known for creating exceptional hospitality, residential, and lifestyle-focused environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects from concept through completion while working closely with clients, consultants, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from initial concept through construction and installation
- Manage client relationships, project schedules, budgets, and overall project coordination
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal design teams
- Develop design concepts, presentations, material palettes, and project documentation
- Prepare and coordinate drawing sets, specifications, and FF&E packages
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and purchasing teams throughout project execution
- Mentor and support junior design staff as needed
- Represent the firm professionally within the design community and industry organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design
- 7–15 years of professional interior design experience
- Experience working on upscale hospitality, private club, residential, or lifestyle-oriented projects preferred
- Strong design sensibility with the ability to translate concepts into successful built environments
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM platforms
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Freehand sketching and conceptual visualization abilities are a plus
- NCIDQ certification preferred
- LEED accreditation is a plus
