Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, technical documentation, and fabrication packages for retail environments, interiors, fixtures, window displays, and pop-up installations.
- Translate design concepts into accurate, build-ready technical drawings and shop drawing packages.
- Create, revise, and maintain engineering, architectural, and production drawings throughout all project phases.
- Develop layouts, construction details, and technical specifications that support fabrication and installation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing practical solutions to support manufacturing and installation processes.
- Coordinate with external vendors and production partners to ensure drawing accuracy and project alignment.
- Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with project requirements, quality standards, and brand guidelines.
- Support the continuous improvement of drafting standards, workflows, and technical best practices.
- Conduct site measurements and verify field dimensions as required to support project delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other industry-standard drafting software; experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience producing technical drawings, shop drawings, fabrication details, and construction documentation.
- Strong understanding of dimensioning, tolerances, materials, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret design concepts and convert them into accurate technical and production-ready documentation.
- Experience working on retail, experiential, commercial interior, fixture, or architectural projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and installation processes for custom retail environments and interiors.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality control.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and project priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, fabricators, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience taking and verifying field measurements with minimal supervision is an advantage.
