As the Merchant of Indoor & Outdoor Furniture for The Porch Swing Company and Amish Lane, you will be our product expert for furniture goods. From design trends to finish choices, pricing, product data, and assortment strategy, you will be responsible for ensuring our product speaks to the customer. Working in a high-level partnership with our Director of Sourcing, you will focus on trend-spotting, assortment curation, and strategic pricing. You will help manage two distinct but complementary business pillars: East Green (design-forward imports): Working with our Director of Sourcing to select, manufacture, produce and QA products that drive volume and market share. Domestic Amish Collections: Leading our relationship with craftsmen in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania to deliver the best made-to-order furniture in the country. Key Responsibilities Assortment Selection: Curate a "Good/Better/Best" catalog. Identify market trends and white-space opportunities for both imported and domestic lines. Strategic Pricing & Margin Management: Through competitive analysis and vigorous testing, determine the fair retail price for all items to ensure maximization of margin dollars. Vendor Relations: Act as the main point of contact for our furniture suppliers. Develop new products, select finishes, negotiate better costs, monitor lead times, and ensure product quality meets our standards. Data-Driven Growth: Use sales velocity, conversion rates, and customer feedback to decide what we should double down on and what we should discontinue.
