Position Introduction:
Kickstart your design career with hands-on experience at University of Oklahoma Architectural & Engineering Services. As a Student Interior Design Assistant, you’ll step beyond the classroom and into real-world projects that shape the university’s spaces.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced interior design professionals and A&E staff to support the selection, ordering, and installation of furnishings across campus. You’ll gain practical skills by organizing product catalogs and materials, contributing to floor plans using AutoCAD, and participating in building walkthroughs and surveys that inform design decisions.
This position also builds your professional foundation through essential office experience—managing files, answering phones, coordinating errands, and supporting daily operations. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and other industry tools while learning how design projects move from concept to completion.
If you’re detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to see your work come to life in real spaces, this is your opportunity to grow, contribute, and make an impact on campus environments.
