JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER:
Shannon White Design is a boutique design firm located in Jackson, Wyoming. Since 2008, we have worked on diverse projects throughout the U.S. and internationally. We specialize in high-end interiors that reflect the unique spirit of our clients’ vision, set amidst the backdrop of the Mountain West. With projects ranging from mountain chalets to modern escapes, we have a deep appreciation for the handcrafted processes and work with local artisans, furniture makers and builders to leave a lasting design legacy.
We are seeking an experienced interior designer to join our small team.This position offers comprehensive exposure to every facet of the design process, from initial concept and technical drafting to project management and final installation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Assist the principal designer in executing an overall design vision for each project.
·Create mood boards and presentation materials to convey design ideas to clients.
·Enter and track project budgets.
·Draft furniture layouts and elevations.
·Source furnishings, fabrics and finishes.
·Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, fabricators and showrooms.
·Create client proposals and purchase orders, track items from purchase to installation.
·Receive, inspect and store items delivered to SWD office.
·Manage project tasks and milestones - schedule meetings with designers, vendors and clients.
·Conduct site visits to measure, document existing conditions with photographs.
·Label lighting, furniture and tile in ArchiCAD.
·Create Schedules & Specification Binders (tile, appliances, paint, hardware, furniture).
·Assist in creating drawings sets and project documentation (specifications, label plans).
·Coordinate deliveries and installations.
·Oversee project installations and photoshoots.
·Meet with supplier reps.
·Manage fabric library and sample returns.
·Participate in maintaining a tidy and organized office environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
·Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a designer
·Strong understanding of drafting principles
·Experience with BIM software
·Previous pricing and procurement experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
·Proficiency in ArchiCAD (or Revit)
·Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
·Microsoft Office Suite
·Knowledge of Studio Designer and the full procurement process.
RELATED SKILLS, WHICH WOULD BE APPRECIATED:
·Experience with project management software
·Knowledge of Antiques and Historic styles
·Ability to convey designs through hand sketches
·Willingness to travel (to Antiques Faires, Markets, the occasional trade show and for project sourcing)
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
We provide a flexible working environment that allows occasional days off to enjoy our mountain environment, spend with family or use to pursue further study.We strive for a reasonable work/life balance.
·Permanent, full time (35-40 hours per week)
·10 days PTO
·Additional paid office closures at management’s discretion 8 days (e.g. between Christmas and New Year, Thanksgiving, Memorial and Labor Days, Fourth of July).
·Basic annual salary dependent on experience: $60,000 - $80,000
·Bonus: discretionary annual bonus based on individual performance as well as performance of SWD Interiors as a whole.
·401K, profit-sharing
