Contract: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $60–$65/hr on W2 (Negotiable | No Benefits)

Work Schedule:

Onsite for the first 2–3 months, with the potential for a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) thereafter.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Job Captain /Residential Architectural Designer to manage internal and external teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to support informed decision-making across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration

Partner with Design, Engineering, and other internal teams
Manage multiple project teams and external consultants
Support design initiatives including new styles, options, and details
Assist with new technology initiatives (discovery & design phases)
Identify roadblocks and drive continuous improvement

Project Management / Quality Control

Oversee construction documents, lot specifics, and revisions
Manage multiple concurrent projects
Interpret construction codes and ensure compliance
Maintain workflow standards and development procedures
Perform data management and exercise independent judgment

Leadership

Provide business analysis to support leadership decisions
Assist in developing and governing standards and procedures
Support additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

Associate Degree or equivalent technical certification
5+ years of related experience
2+ years of project or people management experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
Strong architectural and construction knowledge
Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

Bachelor of Architecture
Experience with SketchUp and BIM360
Residential construction experience
Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
