Job purpose

The Import Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement, demand planning, inventory management, and supplier performance functions for a global product portfolio. This role ensures the company maintains optimal inventory levels while balancing customer demand, supplier capacity, transportation timelines, and company profitability.

Duties and responsibilities

Lead demand planning and procurement activities for domestic and international suppliers.
Develop purchasing strategies that optimize inventory investment while maintaining high customer service levels.
Review forecasts, purchase orders, and replenishment plans to ensure appropriate inventory flow and safety stock.
Manage inventory across multiple distribution centers while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs.
Analyze demand trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with overseas and domestic suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance including production capacity, manufacturing schedules, lead times, on-time shipping performance, and quality metrics.
Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
Lead forecasting activities utilizing historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and business initiatives.
Support product lifecycle management from product launch through end-of-life.
All other duties as assigned.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
5 + years of procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain management experience.
